MHIA 2008 Golf Tournament Play Sunday, September 7 — 12:00 pm
Combining playability with aesthetic beauty, The Phoenician’s 27-hole USGA championship facility is comprised of three memorable nines, each named for its surrounding landscape - Canyon, Desert and Oasis. Pristine desert views, lush tropical scenery, water features, and all of the amenities that make golf a pleasure, await you during your round at The Phoenician.

Callaway Rental Clubs available at $65 + tax. This includes 2 sleeves of golf balls. Please call 480-423-2450 to reserve. The Phoenician strictly enforces their golf dress code: Collared shirts with slacks or Bemuda-length shorts are required for both ladies and gentlemen. No tank tops, no tee shirts, no denim.

Welcome Reception Sunday, September 7 — 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Stop by and have a refreshing beverage, meet and greet old and new acquaintances and friends. A great way to re-connect and make plans for the remainder of the week. Join us for a one-hour reception before heading off for relaxation or dinner. Resort Casual Attire.

Made of Mud Monday, September 8 — 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Join us at “Made of Mud”, Paradise Valley’s favorite pottery workshop! We’ll furnish the pottery and paint and it’s up to you to create and custom design your own Masterpiece! Choose from a variety of options that can include vases, bowls, frames, mugs, dishes, boxes, etc. Your artwork will be glazed and fired, and delivered back to the hotel for your return home! The motor coach will depart at 1:00 pm and return to the hotel at 4:00 pm. Space is limited for this special event, so register today. Smocks will be provided.

Networking Dinner Buffet Monday, September 8 — 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm
After an exciting and event-filled first day, relax and enjoy a casual dinner buffet of traditional Southwestern flavors. Resort Casual Attire.

Southwest Cooking Class Tuesday, September 9 — 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Join us for a trip to Vincent’s on Camelback, recognized as one of “America’s Best Restaurants.” You will start with a cooking demonstration by one of the most famous chefs in America, Vincent Guerithault, who has been recognized by Condé Nast, Gourmet Magazine, Bon Appetit, Travel and Leisure, Money Magazine, and GQ, along with several television appearances. By combining classic French cuisine with the rustic ingredients of the Southwest, Vincent will demonstrate his skills by creating several of his finest regional dishes which you will have the pleasure of dining upon. An autographed copy of the recipes will be included. This excursion is limited to 75 persons, so please register early! The motor coach will depart at 10:00 am and return at 2:00 pm. Wild Wild West MHIA Tuesday, September 9 — 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm
We will mosey out to Fort McDowell to an authentic working ranch, nestled in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. With this location on the Yavapai Apache Indian reservation you can drink in the spectacular views of the Four Peaks Wilderness area and enjoy a cowboy cookout with all the trimmings. Then two-step to a country western band or join in the “western games” to see who is the “toughest wrangler in all of MHIA.” Under the desert night, search the sky for a “star to wish upon” with the assistance of a professional astronomer, or just kick back and relax! Don’t forget to bring your Western gear for this unforgettable night!
