Can an individual become a member of MHIA?
No. Membership is limited to companies.

How can my company become a member of MHIA?
In order to apply for membership in MHIA you must complete a membership application and submit it to MHIA for approval.

How much are the annual MHIA dues?
Membership dues are $2,000 and run from January 1 to December 31.

Do I need to be a member of MHIA to exhibit in ProMat and/or NA?
Yes, exhibiting at trade shows is a benefit of membership. You must be member in the year that you place a booth on hold as well as the year of the show. For example if you place a booth on hold for ProMat 2011 in June of 2010 you must be a member for 2010 and for 2011. Dues must be paid in full prior to actually exhibiting.

Is it required to exhibit at a trade show to be a member of MHIA?
No. MHIA provides a number of ways to help you promote your business. Participation is determined by your company.

Do I need to be a member of MHIA to participate in an Industry Group?
Yes, but becoming a member of MHIA does not guarantee a company’s membership in a particular Industry Group. Each group has its own by-laws, qualifications and participation costs associated with the Group.

Is it required to become a member of an Industry Group?
No, we do encourage involvement in your particular Industry Group but it is totally voluntary. Those companies that do participate in an Industry Group receive further marketing exposure to the user community.

What is the cost to join an Industry Group?
In order to join an Industry Group you must pay a yearly "Participation Fee" which is currently $1,350. This fee covers participation in all groups regardless of whether you join one Industry Group or ten Industry Groups.

In addition, all Industry Groups have annual dues and some have an "Initiation Fee", the amount of which is determined by the Group. A few Industry Groups offer Associate Memberships. Please contact the MHIA Membership Department for Industry Group dues structure.

Must I be a member of an Industry Group to attend the MHIA Annual Meeting?
No. There are many programs/seminars to attend in addition to the Industry Group Meetings. However, if you are interested in possibly joining an Industry Group you do have the opportunity to request to attend their meeting as a guest. This can give you more insight into the Group and assist in your decision to join that particular Group.
