Six Vehicles Handle Pallets
Flexibility is important within a company that tailors its product to the needs of its customers. As customers needs shift, so do the requirements upon the company and thus the transport system. The vehicles within this facility handle 95% of all pallet transportation between the warehouse and the distribution areas. The loads vary from raw materials to finished goods and everything in between.
Free Ranging On Grid
Programming new layouts, routes and station positions is done within the coordinating operating system. Specific stopping points, obstacles and traffic zones are created or modified and then downloaded into the vehicles. This download takes only minutes to complete.
3 Types of Vehicles, 1 Operating System
At this facility there are 3 different types of AGVs each with different transport capabilities. Since the operating system can distinguish between them, they can be coordinated by a single system.
