Results of the 2008 Outstanding Material Handling & Facility Logistics Research Paper Award Competition

The College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2008 Outstanding Material Handling & Facility Logistics Research Paper Award. This award was developed by MHIA and CICMHE to recognize excellence in material handling-related research. The 2008 winners were announced on September 10, 2008 during MHIA’s annual meetings.

1st Place

2nd Place
Goodchild and Daganzo

3rd Place

The paper was published in IIE Transactions, Vol. 38, (2006)


Accepting the first place award are the authors Dr. Gue (2nd from left) and Dr. Meller (2nd from right). Presenting the award to Dr. Gue is Dr. Ogle, Managing Director of CICMHE. Presenting the award to Dr. Meller is Dr. Carter Kerk, Chair of CICMHE’s Academic Services Committee.
