WRT SectorWholesale and Retail Trade (WRT) Sector of the National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) which is a partnership program to stimulate occupational research and practice. The WRT industry consists of 1.6 million businesses that employ nearly 22 million workers. The WRT sector council has developed a strategic plan that represents a national agenda to reduce injuries, illnesses, and fatalities in the sector through a focused program of research and prevention. Participants serving as council members are WalMart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, Supervalu, and Harris Teeter just to name a few.
