Revision of Loading Dock Leveler Standard (MH30.1 – 2007) Now Available

Equipment Manufacturers (LODEM) Product Section of Material
Handling Industry of America (MHIA) announces the availability
of the latest revision of MH30.1 – 2007 Specification
For the Safety, Performance and Testing of Dock Leveling
Devices. Buyers and specifiers of dock levelers can use
this standard to ensure equal comparison of various
manufactures' representations as to capacities and safety
features.
Approved and published in 2007, this revision of the 2004
version of the American National Standards Institute
(ANSI)-approved standard provides safety, performance, and
testing requirements for dock leveling devices.
MH30.1-2007 provides a uniform means of comparison and
is meant to improve user confidence and knowledge in the safe
and effective operation of dock leveling devices. Drawings of
test set-ups are included, and the standard provides definition
of dock leveling device types and components parts. Safety
requirements and considerations and owner responsibilities are
also discussed.
