Supply Chain Execution Systems & Technologies Group is the new name for the Logistics Execution Systems Association
The Logistics Execution Systems Association (LESA) has changed the organization's name to the Supply Chain Execution Systems & Technologies Group (SCE Group). The name change better reflects the scope of the group's activities and the way these solutions are referred to by the industry. The blending of systems and technologies in the name emphasizes the critical links between the software and hardware that provide information-passing solutions. These solutions include software such as Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, Labor Management Systems, and Supply Chain Event Management, as well as hardware solutions such as automatic identification, sortation, weighing/cubing and order picking technologies. The SCE Group is the only company membership based organization that concentrates on Supply Chain Execution.
SCE Group member companies
are the leading providers of supply chain execution systems software, hardware and services. The SCE group was originally formed in 1995 as Warehouse Management Systems to provide member companies with a way to gather together to discuss industry business and develop information or programs to improve the marketplace. The SCE Group also serves as an information resource for companies or individuals learning about or implementing contemporary logistics and supply chain execution systems by offering white papers, case studies and a series of regional seminars.

Member companies come from all areas of material handling and various parts of the world, making MHIA a strong national and international representative for the material handling industry. Much of the work of the industry is done within its product-specific sections, councils and affiliates. The association also sponsors trade events, such as ProMat and the upcoming NA 2006 to showcase the products and services of its member companies and to educate industry professionals on the productivity solutions provided through material handling and logistics.
