R&M’s Spacemaster® SX Electric Wire Rope Hoists and Components in a Magnet Crane Application The project required a 40 ton capacity double girder top running crane with two (2) 20 ton capacity hoists equipped with magnets for use in a CMAA Class D Service steel plate handling application. This heavy-duty application also called for a high hoisting speed, high trolley travel sped and a high bridge travel speed. The location for this application was under a roof with the sides of the building open exposing the equipment to the elements.

Telescoping Bridge Helps Overcome Spacing Issues Work Station Crane w/Telescoping Bridge with Chain Hoist helps overcome spacing issues for a supplier of machined components. “The telescoping WSC allowed us to maximize our available space while keeping the work area free of obstructions”. Machining operations occur in order across three different CNC machines, located side by side, arranged in a line. Operators are required to take a blank out of dunnage, perform a brief machining operation on a workbench in front of them and then load the blank into a CNC machine. The machined part is then unload and placed into finished dunnage and moved to the next process in the line if needed.
