It was also written for suppliers to remind them that it is their responsibility to educate customers and openly address issues surrounding system acceptance and operation in the very early stages of a project. The goal expressed in the paper is that the customer gets what is expected in system performance, gets it on time and without confrontation over acceptance issues, and is prepared to operate and maintain the system on "day one".
