CICMHE Announces 2007 Outstanding Material Handling & Logistics Content Award Winners

The College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) announced the winners of the 2007 Outstanding Material Handling & Logistics Content Award Competition on October 2nd at the Material Handling Industry of America’s 2007 Annual Membership Meetings. CICMHE developed the bi-annual Outstanding Material Handling and Logistics Content Award to recognize and encourage development of outstanding material handling and logistics related content created in the previous two calendar years.

The competition is open to any organization or individual that has created content deemed to make a strong contribution to the materials handling industry. The word content includes white papers, focused topics on website pages, articles, case studies, videos, interactive CDs, and any other form or media that presents material handling related information. A mix of academic and industry judges evaluate the contributions based on educational value, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the material handling industry. The 2009 competition will be based on content created in calendar years 2007-2008. CICMHE also sponsors the bi-annual Outstanding Material Handling Research Award. The 2008 research award will be based on research articles published in calendar years 2006-2007.

The College-Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) is an independent organization which prepares and provides information, teaching materials and various events in support of material handling education and research. Founded in 1952, the Council is composed of college and university educators, material handling equipment manufacturers, distributors, users and consultants, representatives of the business press, and professional staff members of organizations concerned with material handling education.
