AMHERST, N.Y. – Columbus McKinnon Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCO), a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of material handling products, is proud to announce the addition of new features to the popular Lodestar Electric Chain Hoist.
After receiving rave reviews and becoming highly recognized in venues around the world, CM has made the legendary Lodestar electric chain hoist even better. By incorporating new features that provide steady lifts for an array of applications in the entertainment industry, the latest Lodestar is unsurpassed for quiet operation and user-friendly design.
The CM Lodestar electric chain hoist has long been the industry standard for lifting and positioning in the entertainment industry and is the most durable and widely used chain hoist in the market today. The CM Lodestar features allow the hoist to be used in all types of venues and applications. With a capacity range of 1/8 to 2 metric tons and a wide range of speeds, the Lodestar has the versatility to meet any challenge in the entertainment rigging world. The CM Lodestar is designed with a light-weight, durable cast aluminum housing and a black powder coated finish for low visibility.
The Lodestar’s finger safe wiring meets all electrical codes and the quick change plugs allow for operating voltages from 208 thru 460 and prevent improper voltage connections which can cause hoist damage. Single-phase & three-phase models are available and both are capable of 50 or 60 hz operation. An adjustable limit switch prevents the load from over-travel and built in overload protection helps prevent lifting of dangerous overloads. The Lodestar meets or exceeds worldwide standards for hoisting equipment, and is road ready, fitting in flight cases for easy transport. A five-pocket liftwheel means minimal chain wear, and a redesigned control panel permits easy access and quick fuse installation.
