MODEX 2012 Attendees Demonstrate Strong Buying Power and Their #1 Priority is Manufacturing and Supply Chain Innovation

Registrants' strong buying plans over the next 18 months are a positive sign of economic growth for material handling, supply chain and logistics industry

MODEX 2012 attendees are registering in strong numbers for the event to be held February 6-9 in Atlanta's Georgia World Congress Center. When attendees register, they are asked to answer a variety of demographic questions indicating their industry, buying authority and buying plans. Below are some highlights from current MODEX attendee demographics.

52% are corporate or senior management
26% are middle management
85% have buying power
63% buy for distribution centers,
50% buy for warehouses supporting manufacturing
49% buy for a manufacturing facility
29% plan on spending over $1 million over the next 18 months
80% are coming to see new products
62% are coming to network and learn.

These statistics are an early indication that the economic recovery is strengthening for material handling, supply chain and logistics as manufacturing, wholesale and retail industries are planning increased capital expenditures over the next 18 months.
