Overview of what was accomplished
A producer of architectural precast concrete wall panels operates a facility in Tennessee certified for A1 Architectural Concrete.

The company needed overhead material handling equipment that could handle the different lengths of panels and rotate them 90 degrees to place them on flatbed trucks.

The panels weigh 30 tons and more, and the company needed to load them in a more efficient manner. They previously had used mobile cranes for this operation.

The solution was a gantry crane from EMH. A special hammerhead hoist, with continuous 360 degree rotation, allows the load to be turned and placed safely on the truck with minimal time and effort by the operator.

Wrap Up. Company has significantly reduced the time needed to load trucks for shipping, and also has minimized product damage during the process. An ad-ditional benefit is more efficient storage of the panels.
